I just want to feel better....

My week started with Blake waking up on Monday crying of a headache and neck ache.  I thought maybe he just woke up too fast which caused him a headache.  So, I just gave him some tylenol and continued with our morning.  As he was walking out the door something told me to take his temperature.....thank goodness!  He had 103.8!!  And, this was AFTER 45 minutes of giving him tylenol.  Poor guy!  I felt terrible!  Later that day we went to the doctor and he tested positive for Influenza B.  :-(  By the next day he was feeling great!  But, I still kept him from school one more day to get some much needed rest.  It is day 6 and he just finished his meds and he is doing fine. But, momma’s not!!!

Thursday night I started sneezing and just not feeling myself (we just all got over the yucky head cold a few weeks ago so I couldn’t believe I was getting it back)!  By Friday afternoon I felt HORRIBLE!  I had a 103 fever myself.  Finally, my fever broke Friday night.  I still feel tired and under the weather.  I am just praying that nobody else get’s this nasty Influenza!!  Especially because we are getting ready to go see Mickey Mouse pretty soon!

Thank goodness for my husband!  He took care of the kids so I could get some rest this morning.  :-)

I just hope for a better start of my week this week!

Happy St. Patty’s Day......

Gosh, I have been so busy these last few days that I haven’t had a chance to blog.

Happy St. Patty’s Day!  All of the kids have their “green” on today.

I have been out of town for work and as soon as I came home today me and the kids went for a walk.  It is BEAUTIFUL outside.  I am so sick of the snow and being stuck in the house so it was nice to take a long walk.  Coleton and Molly LOVED it (Blake was at Catechism so he missed out on the walk).

Things that have been going on the last few days:

  1. We received Blake’s 1st Grade Report Card and he received all 1’s. The teacher said he is doing awesome and reading really good.  I am so proud of      him! Blake just got over Influenza B.  He had such a high fever.  I am      crossing my fingers that our house has all the nasty bugs out of of it!!!
  2. Coleton is just being his silly Coleton self.  He made a big mess in the     bathroom the other day (poured water all over the floor).  When I came in the bathroom I said “Coleton, I am so upset”.  He said, “Oh, sorry momma, I was just trying to have a little fun”!  Stinker!
  3. Molly is almost sitting up all by herself.  She is getting so big!  She is trying to crawl and she gets mad when she can’t get herself moving.  It is soooo funny!  I will bet that she will be crawling within the next month!  Molly just got over her first cold.  Poor baby girl.

On another note, below are some pictures after we took our walk.  These pictures are for Maddie (the beautiful 4 month old that passed away).

Funny Guy.....

It is my hubby’s birthday on Saturday.  So, last week I asked Blake what he would like to get his Daddy for his birthday.  He said “I really want to get him XBOX 360”.  He said “when Daddy played it that one day he really liked it”.  I told Blake I would think about it.  I almost considered it UNTIL.....

I was taking the kids to school the other day and I hear Blake in the backseat telling Anthony “I am getting an XBOX 360, wanna come over and play with it this weekend”!!  Really???  So, later that day I said to Blake “you little stinker, you want to get Daddy the XBOX 360 so YOU can plan with it”.  He started laughing!  Smart kid!

Anyway, he wasn’t too happy when I came home last night with a different gift/idea.....   HAHAHAHAH!

We have a problem.....

So, my 3 year old has learned some new words.  Everything lately is “we have a problem”.  It is so flipping cute.  Mom, mom, we have a “poblem” - this is how Coleton’s says it.  This morning he comes running in the bathroom where I was getting ready and says those wonderful words.  He tells me to come follow him - which I did.  We go into the kitchen and he says “mom, we have poblem, I want a grilled cheese and we don’t have cheese”!  Gosh, isn’t it so awesome how innocent and sweet children can be.  He really is so concerned about his problem.  I wish my problems were a simple as needing cheese.  Hehe!  I just love that little stinker!

And that same little stinker told me today that he does not want to poop on the potty.  He said he likes wearing diapers.  Oh geez!

Oh, and I can’t forget to say Happy 8 Month’s to my beautiful Molly!  She is 8 month’s old today!  She sat in her high chair today and ate a baby rice cake all by herself.  She is getting so big!  I love you baby girl!

Molly's Special Day.....

Well, I begin my first "blog" with Molly's Special Day.  Today Molly was Baptized.  It was a beautiful sunny day.  She looked beautiful as ever.  We started our day at 7:30 am and believe it or not, it took almost 4 hours to get the entire gang ready!!  Whew!  I am exhausted.  However, my family looked absolutely beautiful on her special day!

Molly was not happy in the morning.  So, when we got to the church she began crying and was very irritable.  However, daddy was able to calm her down and she fell asleep in his arms.   She slept until the warm water was poured on to her head.  After she was baptized she was happy as can be!  I guess all she needed was a little cat nap!

Molly is a special little girl.  We just love her to pieces!  She now has two special Godparents....John and Jodie.

Thank you so much to all of my family and friends for spending the day with us today.  We love our family and friends so much!

On a side note, I missed my girlfriend (and hair girl) baby shower.  She had the shower at the same place I had Molly's luncheon (I did it on purpose so I could stop in at the shower).  I was bummed I missed it but at least I got to stop in to see her.  I brought Coleton with me to see her and he sure made his grand appearance!  He walks in and yells out to everyone "I just washed my hands because I poopied in my diaper", "I don't want you guys to eat it"!  It is great being a mom!  :-)
